Hi, I’m Dionne. I’m a former UX Designer who decided to open a bookstore, and then I sold that bookstore to fulfill my dream of being an unemployed storyteller. I’m from Minnesota, which I do believe we should make bigger. Black, queer, neurodivergent (this is the new A/S/L).

I’m not gonna “should” on your life, friend, so I’ll just say this: I made this collection because my mom talked to your mom and she said you’re feeling fed up and unmoored, just like me. So let’s talk it out in the stacks.

more earnest moments.

Most folks know me from twitter/instagram which is a goddamn nightmare in a lot of ways, but it also means my little bite-sized thoughts and threads are interesting enough for folks to stick around and read ‘em. But the problem is that I can feel my brain cells doing the cha-cha slide right out of my body every time I log onto those websites, so I’m here instead. I also want to give my thoughts, learnings, and musings a bit more weight, just for my own self-worth.

embrace the chaos with me.

So many people promise to be a genuine voice and I just don’t think that’s something you can do if you’re also trying to be marketable. Luckily, I don’t know how to be marketable and will be taking inspiration from chaos.
