I’m not gonna “should” on your life, friend, so I’ll just say this: if you’re even mildly curious about my thoughts as someone who took almost a decade to graduate from college (just undergrad lol), then started a career in tech at 25 working for huge ass corporations, only to ditch it all to start a wildly popular indie bookstore that hasn’t even opened it’s doors yet…here it is. so…do with that what you will.

more nuance. less noise.

most folks know me from twitter which is a goddamn nightmare in a lot of ways, but it also means my little bite-sized thoughts and threads are interesting enough for folks to stick around and read ‘em. but the problem is that I can feel my brain cells doing the cha cha slide right out of my body every time I log onto that website, so I’m trying to do it less. I also want to give my thoughts, learnings, and musings a bit more weight, just for my own self worth.

embrace the chaos with me.

so many people promise to be a genuine voice and I just don’t think that’s something you can do if you’re also trying to be marketable. lucky for us, I don’t know how to do that and will fully be winging everything I post on here. I’m gonna keep it as real as I can, which means embracing the chaos of being alive in 2022. join me?

Subscribe to are you there god? it's me, dionne.

essays about the things you're thinking about too, book reviews, lamentations, and the takeaways of existing during all the chaos.
